Tsewang Dorjey, Dolkar, and a few other young men and women of the Maan village are trained to operate the telescope and conduct the stargazing sessions for the guests visiting their village. Back at their homes, they host travellers in their homestays with the best services. They take visitors around the village to show the semi-nomadic lifestyle of the Changthang.

The families of Maan village have brought innovation to their local farming too. To decrease dependency on the market far away from the village, locals have started growing the vegetable and fruits at their backyard. The newly built greenhouses are helping to make a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables available for guests as well as locals.
