Refund Policy

For booking:

  • For the Homestay services from Mountain Homestays, full payment should be made at least before 7 days of your arrival for confirm booking.
  • For the Multiday Experience (Tour) services from Mountain Homestays, at least 50% payment of total amount should be made at least one month before your arrival for confirmed booking. Remaining balance amount should be fully paid before 15 days of arrival.

Mode of Payment:

  • Overseas advance payment can be made only through CCAvenue using credit card
  • Domestic payments can be made only through – CCAvenue link/Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI
  • No Cash payments allowed at the homestay
  • 100% advance must be submitted at the time of the Booking to confirm your reservation with Mountain Homestays.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of cancellation of Homestay services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

For homestays:

  • 100% refund if cancellation is made before 7 days prior to arrival.
  • No refund if cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival date.
  • 50% refund in case of bad health with valid prescription

Refund in case of extenuating circumstances

  1. The 50% refund will be issued to guests in case of bad health and a visitor submits valid prescription from a doctor.
  2. In case of any natural calamity or climate crisis, we would be only be able to issue 50% refund. The 50% amount will be used to support the communities during the crisis.
  3. Refund will be issued in your account within 7-14 business days of approval of request

For experiences:

  • No refund on experiences once paid
  • Any additional request during the trip must be paid in advance for any availed service

Cancellation Policy:

  • In the event of cancellation of Experiences services due to any climate emergency, we would be suggesting an alternate possible trip with us, and in case of any refund request, the same shall be treated on case to case basis. The terms and communication by the company remains final in such case


  • Written cancellation via Email on [email protected] will be accepted on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday’s will be considered on next working day (Monday).
  • We recommend you to book a transport and/or a local tourist guide from Mountain Homestays to ensure you reach the Homestay and are able to experience your village stay comprehensively
