Refund Policy

For booking:

  • For the Homestay services from Mountain Homestays, full payment should be made at least before 7 days of your arrival for confirm booking.
  • For the Multiday Experience (Tour) services from Mountain Homestays, at least 10% payment of total amount should be made at least one month before your arrival for confirm booking. Remaining balance amount should be fully paid before 7 days of arrival.

Mode of Payment:

  • Overseas advance payment can be made only through Airpay using credit card
  • Domestic payments can be made only through – Airpay link/Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/Google Pay
  • No cash payment allowed

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of cancellation of Homestay / Experiences services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

For homestays:

  • 100% refund excluding third party transaction & Community Services charges if cancellation is made before 7 days prior to arrival.
  • No refund if cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival date.
  • No refund if the visitors are not able to reach the homestay on the Check-in date due to
  1. Bad weather
  2. Road closure due to landslide or other natural event
  3. Bad health of visitor and companions
  4. Not able to locate the homestay due to no connectivity, or any other circumstances.
  • COVID Response
    • 100% refund in case of Government enforced COVID regulations, before 7 days of arrivals
    • 50% refund in case of Government enforced COVID regulations, within 7 days of arrivals
    • COVID reasons
      • Termination of air services or any travel restrictions in your hometown/travel destination
      • Declaration of lockdown or containment zone in your hometown/travel destination
      • Symptomatic/asymptomatic COVID-19 contamination to you/fellow travellers
      • No refund if travellers provide any misleading information in MH – Travellers Information Form

For experiences:

  • 100% refund excluding third party transaction & Community Services charges if cancellation is made 7 days prior to arrival.
  • No refund if cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival date.
  • No refund if the visitors are not able to reach the destination/homestay on the Check-in date due to
  1. Bad weather
  2. Road closure due to landslide or other natural event
  3. Bad health of visitor and companions
  4. Not able to locate the homestay due to no connectivity, or any other circumstances.

Note:

  • Written cancellation via Email on [email protected] will be accepted on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday’s will be considered on next working day (Monday).
  • We recommend you to book a transport and/or a local tourist guide from Mountain Homestays to ensure you reach the homestay and are able to experience your village stay comprehensively
